Our history

The Western Rams Football Sporting Club is situated in the bustling Rockbank municipality and who achieved the significant milestone of 100 years in 2019 as the Rockbank Football Sporting Club.  The club has a long history having played in various leagues over the years.  Originally, the club competed in the old Bacchus Marsh League where the club was successful winning seven premierships prior to the league disbanding in 1972.  The club premierships are 1927, 1953, 1960, 1961, 1964, 1965, 1966.

The Rockbank Football Sporting Club (RFSC) was reformed in 1992 by several local residents wanting a local place for people to play football. The club was originally in the Footscray District League from 1992 to 1999. In the year 2000 the club moved over to the Riddell District Football Netball League where they have stayed since.

Our Future

The next exciting chapter for the club promises to yield on and off field/court success comprising of growth within the Rockbank area and some supporting statistics provided below.  The Government is investing significantly into infrastructure such as the upgrade to Rockbank train station.  With so much more on the go, the club will continue to grow its junior and senior playing participation numbers and increase in volunteer involvement.
